Material characterisation

The term “”material”” refers to any substance or material of natural or artificial origin used by humans to manufacture products.
In the industrial world, the specifications of the finished product to achieve determines the most suitable material and the manufacturing process. Conversely, research laboratories generally bases their research on small samples of material in order to understand the final properties of the material in its various applications.
For this reason, it is essential to have appropriate equipment and performance to capture the desired characteristics (mechanical, thermal, chemical, …), from the research and development stage to the finished product control, through the manufacturing steps.
